The Scandia Electric Ultra Sauna Heater - Large is a wall-mounted electric heater for large cedar sauna rooms. It spans 12.0, 15.0, and 18.0 kW, heating the room by convection while you pour water over the heated rocks for steam.
Scandia has built the Ultra line in the United States since 1964. The shell is 22-gauge brushed stainless steel, and an elevated solid rock tray sits above the elements so water poured on the rocks runs off rather than onto the heating elements.
The heater is UL Listed and includes a built-in thermal cut-out. Sauna rocks, a 60-minute timer, a thermostat, a thermostat sensor wall cover, and installation instructions are included. It wires directly into the building on a dedicated circuit, so a licensed electrician makes the connection. This tier is offered in single phase and three phase, with 480V available on select ratings.
Choose 12.0 kW for rooms up to 980 cubic feet, 15.0 kW up to 1,428 cubic feet, or 18.0 kW up to 1,680 cubic feet, at 208V, 240V, or 480V, with a 60-minute or 24-hour timer and the thermostat mounted on the control box or on the heater.
