The Harvia 50 (WK500) is a high-output wood-burning sauna heater built for large rooms. Load the firebox, light the wood, and the Harvia 50 brings full wood-fired heat to a big sauna.
The Harvia 50 heats rooms of 20 to 50 cubic meters (706 to 1766 cubic feet) and holds a deep bed of stones. It ships with the stove and its flue connection pipe. The 264 pounds of stones it needs to run are offered here as an option, or you can supply your own 10-15 cm sauna stones.
Per Harvia, the Harvia 50 delivers 40 kW of output and holds up to 120 kg (264 lb) of stones, enough for a large room and a full bathing schedule. The stove connects through a 140 mm flue at the top or rear. Note that Harvia's own chimney kits do not fit the Harvia 50, so plan for a T600-class 140 mm chimney from a chimney supplier. This is a wood-burning appliance: install it with the required clearances to combustible materials, a non-combustible floor base, and a compliant chimney, and have a qualified installer confirm the setup against local building codes.
