Return, Refund, and Warranty Policy

Effective Date: August 11, 2025

1. Scope and Intent

This Return and Refund Policy applies to all purchases made through The Therapeutic Patio website located at www.thetherapeuticpatio.com ("Website").

3. General Return Eligibility

Customers have the right to cancel their purchase and return the product within 14 days of receipt without providing any reason, subject to the conditions outlined below.

  • The item must be unused, undamaged, and in the same condition that you received it.
  • The item must be in the original packaging, with all labels and tags attached.
  • A receipt or proof of purchase is required.

4. Return Process

To initiate a return:

1. Contact Customer Service: Email us at support@thetherapeuticpatio.com or call (225) 535-3580 within 7 days of receiving your order. Provide your order number and a detailed reason for the return.

2. Return Authorization: After reviewing your request, we will provide detailed return instructions and, if applicable, a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and a prepaid shipping label.

Preparing Your Return:

  • Securely pack the item in its original packaging, including all accessories and manuals.
  • Include the return authorization form and supporting documents.
  • Affix the provided shipping label.

Shipping the Return:

  • Ship the package within 7 days of receiving the authorization.
  • Use a trackable shipping method.

5. Return Shipping Costs

All return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer unless otherwise noted under brand-specific policies.

6. Brand-Specific Return, Refund, and Warranty Conditions

6.1 Arteflame

  • Return Window: 14 days from purchase.
  • Condition: Must be new, unused, unassembled, and in original unopened packaging.
  • RMA Required: Contact info@arteflame.com for authorization. Clearly mark the RMA number on the outside of the box.
  • Restocking Fees: Items not in sellable condition may incur up to a 35% refinishing fee.
  • Final Sale: Discounted, promotional, and coupon orders are non-returnable.
  • Shipping: Return shipping is the customer's responsibility. If free/discounted shipping applied, actual costs will be deducted. Refused shipments incur shipping costs + 20% restocking fee.
  • Warranty: 3-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects (residential use only, non-transferable). Shipping costs for warranty claims are the customer's responsibility.
  • Exchanges: Defective/damaged items replaced at Arteflame's discretion.

6.2 LuxCraft

  • Special Orders: Non-returnable. $50 upcharge per piece. No changes/cancellations after 48 hours.
  • Returns: Must be in original condition. Restocking fees may apply.
  • Damage Claims: Inspect items immediately upon unboxing. Submit photos via email. Damage after pickup/delivery acceptance not covered.
  • Non-Stock/Custom Orders: Final sale, non-returnable.
  • Warranty: LuxCraft standard manufacturer warranty applies.

6.3 Golden Designs (Saunas)

Cancellation and Return Policy:

  • Cancellation Window: Orders must be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase to avoid all fees and charges.
  • Return Window: All returns must be processed within 30 days of delivery.
  • Condition Requirements: All returned goods must be in their original packaging.
  • RMA Required: All returns must be pre-approved with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from The Therapeutic Patio. Buyer's failure to obtain the RMA number shall result in Seller not accepting any returned shipment and Buyer paying all costs and fees.
  • Risk of Loss: Buyer assumes all risk of loss associated with returns.
  • Inspection Rights: The Therapeutic Patio reserves the right to refuse to refund any deposit or payment until: (a) receipt of goods, (b) inspection of goods, and (c) determination that goods are free of damage.
  • Refund Processing: Refunds will be provided within 5 business days once the product has been returned to the warehouse and inspected for damage.

Return Fee Structure:

Scenario 1: New, Original Packaging, Never Opened

  • Original outbound shipping charge (as shown on price sheet)
  • Return inbound charge (120% of outbound shipping amount)

Scenario 2: New, Original Packaging, Opened/Assembled but Never Used

  • Original outbound shipping charge (as shown on price sheet)
  • Return inbound charge (120% of outbound shipping amount)
  • 20% restocking fee on total purchase price

Scenario 3: Opened, Assembled, and Used

  • NO RETURNS ACCEPTED

Additional Golden Designs Shipping Charges:

The following charges may apply and will be the customer's responsibility:

Change of Address:

  • Same city and freight terminal: $85.00
  • Different city and different freight terminal: $150.00 and up

Redelivery Charges:

  • 2nd delivery attempt: $95.00
  • 3rd delivery attempt: $150.00

Storage Charges:

  • $125.00 per day after the 3rd day at the destination terminal

Other Fees:

  • Storage fees and costs associated with routing the goods
  • All shipping costs to and from The Therapeutic Patio
  • All such costs and fees as determined by The Therapeutic Patio shall be paid by Buyer upon demand

Golden Designs 5-Year Limited Warranty:

Warranty Coverage:
Golden Designs, Inc. under the Dynamic brand name warranties the wood, structure, heating elements, and electronics against defects in material and workmanship for a period of 1 to 5 years from the original date of purchase, as follows:

  • Residential Use:
    • Heating elements and electronics: 5 years from date of purchase
    • Wood structure: 1 year from date of purchase
  • Commercial Use:
    • Heating elements and electronics: 1 year from date of purchase
    • Wood structure: 1 year from date of purchase

Extent of Warranty:
This limited warranty applies to products manufactured or distributed by Golden Designs, Inc. under the Dynamic brand name, delivered in the continental United States or Canada, and extends to the original purchaser at the original site of installation only. This warranty becomes valid at time of purchase and terminates either by the specified time frame listed above, owner transfer, or relocation. Your sales receipt showing the date of purchase is your proof of purchase. Warranty is non-transferable.

Important Use Restrictions:

  • INDOOR USE ONLY: This sauna is for indoor use only for infrared models. Placing your infrared sauna outdoors will VOID this warranty. Any damage due to exposure to outdoor elements such as rain, snow, sun, wind, or extreme temperatures will not be covered by this warranty.
  • Traditional Saunas: Traditional outdoor/indoor saunas must be installed per manufacturer specifications to maintain warranty coverage.
  • Modifications: Any damages as a result of modifications made to the sauna or its components will void this warranty.

Warranty Registration:
Register your sauna warranty at http://goldendesigninc.com/warranty/ within 60 days of purchase. You must present proof of purchase documents (including the date of purchase). Any evidence of alteration, erasing, or forgery of proof of purchase documents will cause this limited warranty to be VOID. Products on which the serial number has been defaced or removed are not eligible for warranty service.

Manufacturer Warranty on Appliances:
All Golden Designs products are manufactured with the highest quality appliances and are warranted to be free from defects in material and workmanship at the time of delivery. The appliance warranty is extended through the manufacturer for the product including, but not limited to: stereos, CD/DVD players, etc.

Warranty Service:

  • Parts Coverage: This warranty covers parts, but does not cover labor.
  • Shipping Costs: Customer is responsible for all shipping costs related to warranty claims. You must prepay any shipping charges, export taxes, custom duties and taxes, or any other charges associated with the transportation of the parts. In addition, you are responsible for insuring any parts shipped or returned.
  • Defective Parts: Any parts determined to be defective must be returned to Golden Designs, Inc. to obtain warranty service.
  • Replacement Parts: All exchanged parts and products replaced under this warranty will become the property of Golden Designs, Inc. Golden Designs, Inc. reserves the right to change manufacturers of any part to cover any existing warranty.

Warranty Limitations and Exclusions:
This warranty does not apply if the unit has been subject to negligence, alteration, modification, misuse, abuse, repairs by non-Golden Designs authorized personnel, inappropriate installations, or any case beyond the control of Golden Designs, Inc. invalidating this warranty including but not limited to:

  • Use of lacquer or paints
  • Sauna and other Golden Designs products/accessories placed on non-approved surfaces
  • Outdoor applications (for infrared models)
  • Normal wear and tear or weathering
  • Use of product not in accordance with instructions
  • Worn out receptacle
  • Surface cracks: Surface cracks are not considered defects in material or workmanship, as they are normal characteristics of all woods. This includes minor cracks due to wood expansion and contraction. Since the wood used in construction has been kiln dried, a certain amount of expansion and contraction occurs in the wood in a sauna environment.

Disclaimers:
Golden Designs, Inc. shall not be liable for loss of use of sauna or other Golden Designs products or other secondary or incidental or consequential costs, expense, or damages—which may include the removal of permanent deck or other custom fixtures or the necessity for crane removal—arising directly or indirectly out of the use or inability to use the product. Any implied warranty shall have duration equal to the applicable warranty stated above. Under no circumstances shall Golden Designs, Inc. or any of its representatives be held liable for injury to any person or damage to any property, however arising.

Liability Disclaimer:
Golden Designs, Inc. and The Therapeutic Patio shall not be held responsible for any misuse of products by the customer or liable for any damage and/or injury caused by customer misuse of product. Golden Designs, Inc. and The Therapeutic Patio do not provide medical guidance or diagnosis. It is always recommended that you contact your physician for advice before using sauna products.

Legal Remedies:
This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights. You may have other rights, which may vary from state to state.

Specifications:
Specifications are subject to change without notice or obligation.

6.4 All Other Brands

  • Return Window: Within 90 days of invoice; must be processed within 10 days of receiving authorization.
  • Condition: Must be new, in original packaging, resalable.
  • Authorization: Required. Returns without authorization not accepted.
  • Restocking Fee: 20% restocking fee applies.
  • Special Orders/Non-Stock: Non-returnable.
  • Freight: Customer is responsible for all return freight.
  • Damage Claims: Inspect shipments immediately. Report within 3 days and note on bill of lading. Claims filed with carrier by customer.
  • Warranty: Covered directly by manufacturer (e.g., Fire Magic, AOG). Manufacturer terms apply.

7. Exceptions to the Return Policy

  • Custom or personalized products.
  • Special orders and non-stock items.
  • Discounted, promotional, or coupon-code orders.
  • Perishable goods.
  • Sanitary goods, personal items, gift cards, and downloadable software.
  • Golden Designs products that have been opened, assembled, and used (see Section 6.3).

8. Refunds

  • Refunds are issued after returned items are inspected and approved.
  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 business days (5 business days for Golden Designs products after inspection).
  • Original shipping costs are non-refundable unless due to supplier error.
  • Partial refunds may apply for late returns or items not in original condition.
  • The Therapeutic Patio may refuse to refund all or any portion of any payment if the Buyer fails to fully comply with or violates the terms and conditions of this policy.

9. Exchanges

  • Defective or incorrect items replaced at no cost.
  • Exchanges due to preference only accepted where brand policy permits, with customer paying freight.

10. Timelines

  • Returns must be reported and shipped within the timelines outlined by each brand.
  • Golden Designs: Orders must be cancelled within 24 hours; returns must be processed within 30 days of delivery.
  • Refunds processed within 14 business days of inspection (5 business days for Golden Designs products).
  • Refunds may take up to 14 additional days to appear in your account.

11. Legal Rights

This policy does not override any statutory consumer rights under applicable law.
